Hi, my name's Brendan Hamilton. I'm a recording artist, singer songwriter, producer here in New York city. I've been writing music since I was a kid, 12, 13 years old. Essentially it was one of the ways for me to be able to, well, at least I wasn't, perhaps I'm still not the best communicator. And I use music pretty much as a way to be able to do that. It's great. Art is one of the ways that we can express the human condition. Nothing more human than wanting to look back and reflect on the things that we could have done better, the things that we should not have done, perhaps, and the things we still might do looking forward. In my music one of the things you might find as well as in many other artists, you listen to the radio, turn it on, you hear a lot of people talking about, wow, I wish I could go back and do that again. Or man, why did I do that in the first place? It's a common topic and it's something that we think about all the time. Remorse, wishing we could go back, affect a situation. A lot of my music is like that. Most of the songs on "All In", which was my first album, actually that I released a few years back are about that topic. So if we were to look at one of the songs, one of my favorite songs actually on the album is called "Ghost" and essentially that is a song about me looking back and wishing that I could go back and change a situation that still continuously haunts me to this day, or at least as for at the moment I wrote the song. That song is essentially me admitting my guilt and wishing that I could go back and fix that situation so that I am not constantly thinking about it and constantly wishing that I could was in a different situation, so for many reasons, that's one of my favorite songs and I think it's one of the more personal songs that I have on that album. Hopefully you'll take a second and listen to it, find a little bit of yourself in it. I think it's pretty much a reflection and understanding of a place where we've all been and we may all be again.
